For 2 years Paige worked part time as an activity's assistant in a dementia specialist care home. Her role was to plan and schedule weekly/monthly activity programs that gave space for person-centered care whilst providing a sense of purpose that was age appropriate. Paige would lead an activity from start to finish including prep of equipment, facilitation, and risk assessments.
It was in this role that Paige set up a weekly art club in which she would teach the residents a creative skill, this gave residents purpose and confidence and was very successful.
