I hadn't done physical making that wasn't wrapped up in teaching for SO LONG. Everything has been admin heavy or digital based. Thats the trouble with making your passions your work, sometimes you stop doing things for fun because 'real work' gets in the way.
'Do something creative just for me' has been on my to-do list literally since the start of this year and each week I either push it down the list or feel uninspired to make so don't bother. But last week I was like NO! You cannot keep neglecting your sense of creative play.
I got some inks out and tried drawing but it wasn't happening for me so I got some papers out and tried collage instead. I find snipping up paper a lot less pressure to produce something 'perfect'. So here are my outcomes, 3 foodie themed collages that I thought were so sweet they deserved to be hung on the plain wall in our kitchen. Pretty cute I think!
